4th Annual Walk for Wellness - Milwaukee County's Employee 5k Fun Run/Walk

You and your family are invited to participate in the County’s 4th Annual 5K Fun Run/Walk in Whitnall Park on Thursday August 17th at 6:30pm! Registration is free!

Check-in is from 5:45pm until 6:20pm. The run/walk will start promptly at 6:30pm. At check-in, you will receive your t-shirt and sign a release of liability waiver. Please allow at least 10 minutes for check-in. The 5K is untimed. There is 2 mile walk option for those who prefer not to do all 3.1 miles. T-shirts are guaranteed for those that register before August 4th. Water and a light snack will also be provided.

After the walk stay and enjoy the Whitnall Park Beer Garden or head up the street to enjoy live music at Boerner Botanical Gardens.

Directions: Picnic Area 1 is located about a half mile southeast of Boerner Botanical Gardens. It is just east of the College Avenue and 92nd street intersection. You will only be able to enter Picnic Area 1 on College Avenue from 92nd street. Root River Parkway will be blocked off for the walk.

Parking: There will be parking in Picnic Area 1’s parking lot and along College Avenue. Look for signs once you enter the park and volunteers directing you.

Inclement Weather: In the event of inclement weather, participants will be emailed of cancelation before 6am the morning August of 17th.

The walk is sponsored by the County Wellness Program with support from the Department of Parks, Recreation and Culture. Since this event is free, please consider donating to a charity of your choice.
